Buhari, Tinubu political liabilities – Jonathan

Tinubu and Buhari - leaders of ACN and CPCPresident Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday reacted to criticism of his government by opposition leaders during the national convention of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, last week in Lagos, dismissing them as people who do not have what it takes to move the nation forward.

The president who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, at a press conference in Lagos condemned the ‘penchant’ of opposition leaders to denigrate the government and the nation, and assured that the government will not be distracted by their ‘empty’ criticisms in its unrelenting drive to transform the nation’s social, economic and political landscape.

ACN, ANPP, CPC, others set to finalise alliance talks •Mission is to oust PDP in 2015 -Balarabe Musa

MAJOR opposition parties in the country, including the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP), Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and others, will soon finalise talks over the proposed alliance ahead of 2015 election, amid high expectations that the alliance will work this time.

Second Republic governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, affirmed in a chat with the Nigerian Tribune that principal actors in the alliance were more than eager to ensure the ouster of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from power by the next general election.
